In what season of life do you find yourself?
Do you need to reflect on or refocus your past or plan changes for your future?
Have people or life itself brought you to a need for restoration?
Is life basically good but you sense something missing and want to find a way to replenish yourself?
Do you need tools to be empowered?
Every season in life can come with the need for a tune up; and every crisis deserves a listening ear. Let me walk with you on your journey to refocus, restore, or replenish your life. After making the difficult first step to seek help, you deserve a counselor that offers sound and practical counseling that is tailored to your specific needs to equip you for your life’s journey. And for those who want to take the journey further, I can help you explore an even greater purpose by discovering your personal capacity to glorify God.
The world consists of people who either deplete your life or replenish your life. And sometimes, we are left without the ability to replenish that depleted life and are in need of healing for damaged emotions. This can be done by identifying and utilizing your strengths through comprehensive and therapeutically sound counseling that is consistent with Christian beliefs and values.
Life has a way of bringing each of us at some point with a need to replenish, defined as:
to fill with inspiration or power
to fill or build up again
to fill or make complete again
to inspire or nourish
to become full again
My clinical approach is based in cognitive behavior therapy, thus focusing on replacing harmful belief systems with truthful belief systems that will allow you to heal and grow. However, the theories I use are eclectic because each person needs an individualized approach.
I have a particular heart to restore and improve marriages, recognizing the value of the family system in our society and in God’s order. This is done by connecting spouses with positive input, rather than focusing on problems, as well as teaching tools and skills to maintain a healthy marriage. In addition, I counsel adults with a variety of needs, including depression, grief, anxiety, time management, problem solving, stress, conflict resolution, trauma, and financial management.
I have received a Master of Education degree in Counseling and Human Development and am licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor to provide counseling services to adults. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and am qualified to supervise Licensed Professional Counselor Interns.
